Just in case you missed personal trainer, life coach and fitness author Kathleen Trotter's debut column in The Daily Fray on Jan. 18, no worries. Now get ready to keep moving — and improving — with Kathleen's "Fitness Monday," which launches on Feb. 1 in The Fray.
"Staying healthy is challenging in the best of times," Kathleen says. "During COVID, we all need to become 'health ninjas' — we need to pull out all our health 'tools.' Yes, I know, easier said than done. [But] you must be creative, you have to have a 'find solutions' attitude, and you have to intentionally schedule-in workouts. Make moving a priority. Then, guard that time."
Kathleen is a fitness expert, nutritionist, workout specialist, and overall health enthusiast. She is author of “Finding Your Fit: A Compassionate Trainer's Guide to Making Fitness a Lifelong Habit” and “Your Fittest Future Self: Making Choices Today for a Happier, Healthier, Fitter Future You.”
Whether you want to read, listen or watch a video, Kathleen has more than 1,200 ways for a fitter, healthier future.
On Feb. 1, Kathleen will share her exclusive approach for making your daily walks with Fluffy into a fun, heart-pumping exercise experience.
"After twenty-plus years in the fitness field I have learned one thing for sure: No one is 'always' motivated," Kathleen says. "Think of motivation as akin to an emotion. It ebbs and flows. The trick is to establish systems ... One system is piggybacking your workout onto your dog walk."
Kathleen earned a master’s degree in exercise science from the University of Toronto. She appears regularly on TV segments in the U.S. and Canada. Her private clients include athletes of all ages to individuals living with Parkinson's and osteoporosis.

In coming weeks, also expect more features, columns and in-depth reporting from The Fray — a mixture of content that values places of wildness, promise and resilience, action takers and difference makers.
